FREE THE CHICKENS

A bit of direct action aiming to free some hens from a factory farm gets way out of hand. On the run, four activists are forced to seek refuge in inhospitable nature – pushed to their limits, they become entangled in moral dilemmas. Is nature even a safe place for animals? This animated short film combines black humour and nuanced social critique while challenging idealistic notions and the contradictions of a thoroughly ethical life.
